This 6.5X55mm Swedish caliber Model 1896 Mauser rifle is in excellent condition. The 24"" barrel has an excellent bore with bright, strong rifling. The gun has approx. 99% blue with the bolt, cleaning rod, and buttplate being bright. The serial numbres, including the receiver, bolt, buttplate, floorplate, and bands, are matching. The top of the chamber is marked with the Swedish crest over CARL GUSTAFS STADS over GEVARSFAKTORI over 1913. There are import stamps on the barrel toward the muzzle. The stock is excellent with two inspection stamps to the rear of the trigger guard and the sighting disc on the right butt. The swivels and cleaning rod are present. The action functions correctly.
