Carl Gustaf ~ M96 ~ 6.5x55mm Swiss
Description: One of the finest early Mausers ever made was Carl Gustaf's M96. Developed for Swedish infantry use but adopted by the civilian market due to its accuracy, the M96 is an expertly crafted rifle worthy of any collection. This M96 is in very good condition, with minor blemishes and marks on the barrel. The receiver and bolt are in excellent shape. The wood has marks, dings, and dents, typical for a rifle of its age. It was made in 1908 and has all matching numbers on its components. From the bolt parts, safety, buttplate, floorplate, rear sight, and barrel bands; they all match the numbered receiver. This one also has a somewhat rare threaded barrel and brass disk on the stock. The stock disk determined the barrel condition when it left the factory. This one was a Condition 1 barrel (0 was a brand new barrel, 3 the worst condition/unservicable), bore diameter of 6.50, 0 holdover using M41 Spitzer bullets.
