Description:
SW48: Sweden M96 Rifle, 6.5x55mm. Bolt action with straight bolt. Import marked with all matching numbers. Cleaning rod has a different number which is the usual for any Swede. Metal is really nice 98+% with VG++ wood that has a few scrapes and scratches, but is nice. Has brass disc that reads 6.52 bore and #1 bore condition. End of barrel is NOT threaded. Threaded barrel guns were used for training with blank firing device that shredded the wooden tipped bullet and also issued to reserve troops. Includes correct double metal oilier, correct factory sight hood and correct sling. This one is made by Carl Gustafs of Sweden in 1912 for the Swedish Military. Very nice, very hard to find rifle in this condition. Length:m/1896: 1,260 mm (49.61 in), Barrel length:m/1896: 739 mm (29.09 in). This gun comes out of the personal collection of YooperJ. YooperJ has been an active collector of military guns for over 30 years. Most of these are one of a kind or a slight variation within a model. When they are gone, they’re GONE!! Not sure you could find a nicer example of this gun. All ORIGINAL. Will also include the correct bayonet and scabbard!! This will give you the correct rifle and accesories issued to the soldier. More pictures available as I could only post 15, anything specific please ask. The dark mark near the butt plate is where the arsenal marking number (white with black number) tape was placed.
