Description: Swedish Mauser M96 - Carl Gustaf 1908 - 6.5x55mm - Collectible & Shooter Carl Gustaf M96 Swedish Mauser – 1908 Dated – Historic Bolt Action For sale is a classic piece of military history: a Carl Gustaf M96 Swedish Mauser bolt-action rifle chambered in the respected 6.5x55mm Swedish cartridge. This rifle, manufactured in 1908 and bearing serial number 214627, is a century-old example of renowned Swedish craftsmanship and design. Imported by CAI, St. Albans, VT. This rifle is in great used condition and presents as a fantastic candidate for both the collector and the shooter. It features its original wooden stock with finger grooves and a half-length upper handguard, showing honest character with minor cosmetic gashes and scratches. The metalwork retains its blued finish with a gray patina on the polished bolt handle and mild, light pitting. Critically, the bore is clean, bright, and the rifling is sharp. It functions as a standard M96 with a 5-round internal magazine (loaded via stripper clips, not included), a fixed front blade sight, and includes the original cleaning rod.
