The rifle is fun as is, and also difficult to find. This is not the MAS45 style rifle, its a pre-war Mauser 22lr sporter. I bought it years ago as a project piece to be built into an adult rimfire hunting rifle. I had been looking on the internet at the Gallery of custom rifles that the French gun Company "Dorelac" had been building and was inspired. This rifle was purchased as the platform to build such a rifle. You would change the bolt handle, put a Timney Trigger in or even DSTs with new bottom metal, and then have it restocked. The outcome would have been a thing of beauty.
Along the way, I got side tracked into Ballards and single shot rifles...and I never got around to this particular project. And then I retired and my "project list " has since been revised. I figure someone else may be looking for a nice 22lr for their project. Bore is perfect and metal is also without issue. Receiver has the 11mm rail which will take the Leupold RF scope rings.
Must ship to an FFL. MC and Visa Cards add 3%, no money orders please ...not even Postal Money orders. Personal checks are accepted. Will ship via FedEx, shipping expense to be determined. If you have any questions, please let me know.
