Description:
German Made (Berlin Factory) Mauser Bolt Action Rifle, Model 1891, World War I era (Believed to be Circa 1915), SN: W2981.  SNs on Bolt Handle, Receiver, Barrel and Magazine all match.  7.9 Caliber.
Receiver Stampings:
"MAUSER MODELO ARGENTINO 1891
DEUTSCHE WAFFEN-UND MUNITIONS FABRIKEN BERLIN"
Bore is good/ very distinctive rifling, very strong trigger spring, all mechanisms function smoothly and lock up tightly.
This gun has not been test fired, only function tested. Mahogany stock is very nice but worn in places consistent with age.
