NICE Yugoslavian Rework WORLD WAR II German 7.92mm MAUSER K98 Rifle C&R
YUGOSLAVIAN CREST Stamped on Receiver PREDUZECE 44
Description: NICE Yugoslavian Rework WORLD WAR II German 7.92mm MAUSER K98 Rifle C&R YUGOSLAVIAN CREST Stamped on Receiver PREDUZECE 44 Here we present a C&R Yugoslavian Reworked Third Reich German K98 Mauser Rifle manufactured circa 1943 and reworked at Preduzece 44, or “factory” 44. In 1898 the German Army purchased a Mauser design, the Model 98, which incorporated improvements introduced in earlier models. The weapon was originally chambered for the Patrone 88 and officially entered German service as the Gew. 98 on April 5, 1898. This remains by far the most successful of the Mauser designs, helped by the onset of two world wars that demanded vast numbers of rifles. Not long after the end World War II, the newly formed Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia was trying to re-arm its military forces. The main problem that the Yugoslav government had to face was the lack of funds and the fear of an imminent conflict. A temporary solution was found in refurbishing the rifles that were captured or left over by the Germans. They were noted for their reliability, great accuracy, effective range and would not require a new mass production plant, thanks to the fact that all the components of the rifles were already available. The overall condition is fine. Excellent action. This example is arsenal refinished. Bright, nicely rifled bore. Sharp markings. The stock is solid with less than average handling. Mixed numbers. “CAI” import marked. Own the original! This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Barrel is 23-3/4 inches. Caliber: 7.92mm Mauser Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING. Will need to be sent to your local FFL or C&R licensee. This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Guaranteed AUTHENTIC & Includes CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. ancestryguns $1400 #250435 SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
