CASED MAYNARD 2-BBL SET
Description: This is an exceptional outfit with a Maynard rifle and 2 bbls. One bbl is a 40-50 Maynard narrow flange and the second bbl is a 16 ga. Nice all over condition. The frame is a very aged grey with smooth metal and good markings. The buttstock is exceptional for it's age. Nice fitting to the frame. Maynard has the dovetailed wood that goes into it that sometimes cracks but this one is very nice. Rifle bbl has nearly all finish remaining with just light wear in spots and some dulling. Bore is unbelievable! Bright shiny and about a 9.5 out of 10. Shotgun bbl is about the same exterior finish. Bore is shiny with just light pitting throughout. The period case is a piece of art in it's own right. There is cartridge holes in a block which is nearly full of empty cases and one loaded flange Maynard case. Also about a dozen brass 16 ga shells. The box is set in two levels. The top tray has the Maynard rifle, cartridges and accoutrements including a beautiful flask and other reloading components. The bottom tray has both the bbls, 2 levers and the shotgun shells. Everything was made to fit this gun. The top tray fits back in and the lid closes into a very well protected good looking package!
