Deluxe Special Order Engraved Maynard Carbine
Description: Fabulous deluxe special order Maynard carbine with figured and checkered walnut stock. The reciever is panel scene engraved on each side. In addition the receiver, lower tang and Swiss style butt plate are scroll engraved and gold plated. The gun was probably ordered as a presentation for some high ranking individual. The barrel is engraved and has silver bands at muzzle and breach. The barrel finish is blue. The gold plated parts retain almost all the original finish. The barrel shows over 98 % original blue with a few minor marks. The action and bore are very good.
