Up for sale is a new Merkel model 40E. This fine game gun is chambered in 16 Ga. With 2 ¾ chambers. The barrels are 28” long and feature Fixed, IC, and Mod chokes with automatic ejectors. This model features double triggers, English stock and a splinter fore end. The walnut stock features a hand rubbed oil finish. The length of pull from the front trigger to the center of the factory butt plate is 14 7/16”. From the rear trigger to the butt plate is 13 7/16”. The drop at comb is 1 ½”. The drop at heel is 2 ½”. There is slight right-hand cast in the stock. This gun comes in at exactly 6 lbs. This is a new production Merkle 40E. Soon, this model is going to have a substantial price increase of nearly $600.
