This rifle is a Smith Enterprise M14 built by Ron Smith to the Crazy Horse specification and the receiver is marked “Crazy Horse, 1 of 1.". It has all of the best that SEI puts into their rifles. All USGI or SEI parts (TRW bolt, SEI op rod, etc.). The barrel is a Crazy Horse barrel designed and made by SEI. It has a hand cut chamber that was cut using a special chamber reamer designed for the military M118LR song range round. It is also specifically heat treated using the SEI M80HT process which improves accuracy and longevity. (Chrome lining is no longer needed.) It is fitted with an SEI military scope mount with correct NSN number and United States Property markings. The trigger is tuned to about 4.5 lbs. The gas system is SEI spec’ed for accuracy just as SEI does for its military customers. It has an SEI hard chrome gas piston. The stock is a USGI stock with a hand rubbed tung oil finish. It also has a matching heat shield rather than the usual GI plastic one. This makes the rifle gorgeous. (The only thing that I had made different was I had the USGI flash hider/front sight assembly installed to make the rifle legal for NRA high power competitions. These could be changed out very simply by SEI or the buyer.)
