WORLD WAR I CANADIAN ROSS MKII** STRAIGHT PULL
Description: Canadian Ross Model 1905, Cal. 303 Brit. S# 11132. Bolt Action Rifle. 30 1/2" barrel. Aperture folding adjustable rear sight mounted on top of receiver & blade type front sight w/ protective hood. Ross rifles were designed by Sir Charles Ross & mfg. in Canada by the Ross Rifle Co. of Quebec. This model rifle has the revised rearsight & is made without the magazine cut off but retaining the Harris floorplate depressor. Rotating flag type safety. Receiver marked on left side “ROSS RIFLE CO. QUEBEC” & “PATENT”. Balance of marking is hidden under rear sight base. Receiver has scattered “view marks”. Upper band has bayonet lug & stacking swivel. Sling swivels are located on lower band & triggerguard. Walnut stock set, buttplate has sliding trap. CONDITION: Good. Stock set has moderate wear, dents, scratches & staining. Very nice wood pattern. Has been lightly cleaned w/ added finish. Metal has 75% original blue with light wear & scattered spots of oxidation. Bolt rib retains case colors. Fair, somewhat worn, dusky bore.
