WWII Japanese Katana (Samurai) Sword

Description:
WWII Japanese Katana (Samurai) sword, overall length of 37:, blade is 26 3/4" long. The blade is in very good to excellent condition and it is crome plated. It is believed to be an officer's sword brought back by my father-in-law during WWII in the pacific theatre 1944-45. Attached to the sword holder is a cloth tag with the soldiers name written on one side in Japanese. The tsuka (handle wrap) was partially unravelled. The menuki are still under the wrap on each side of the sword. Offers are acceptable.
