"Gorgeous British Pattern 1856 Short rifle .60 caliber (AL9729)

Description:
"NSN, circa 1860, .60 caliber, 33" round barrel marked “KEMP LEDDELL & Co. 41 LONDON WALL". Acceptance marks are stamped on the left side of the barrel. Barrel has turned to brown/plum patina with traces of blue visible in protected areas. Lock plate marked “1860/TOWER forward of hammer, rear is marked with “CROWN". Stock and checkering remain fine with light nicks dings and scratches visible. Forward of the butt plate is a shield with an arm holding scimitar. Attached is a beautiful confederate cloth sling. Action holds at half and full cock.
