About Us: Private hobbyist/collector of mostly pre WW2 military rifles and thinning out our collection. I'm not an FFL so all FFL sales will go through my local shop unless (1) your local and then we can work out something in person OR (2) Your FFL will accept a firearm from a NON FFL. I will not cut corners and will only follow the rules so please don't ask for anything else. I'm open to reasonable offers but don't expect a response if its just silly.
Imperial Russian Tula Berdan II M1870 rifle antique no ffl not import
Description: Imperial Russian Berdan II rifle Model of 1870 made at the Tula factory in 1886, chambered in 10.75x58mmR. The Berdan was designed by an American Civil War veteran (see Berdan's Sharpshooters) and adopted by Imperial Russia first in 1868 (the "Berdan I") and then in 1870, which had major improvements over the previous. The Berdan saw service with Russia through WW1; as well as Bulgaria during the Russo-Turkish war, Serbo-Bulgarian war, the Balkan wars, and in WW1 as well. Montenegro and Serbia both received Berdan rifles prior to and during WW1 from the Russians. The final major conflict they saw service in was the Spanish Civil war of the 1930's, when the Soviets supplied them to the Republican Spanish faction. Rifle is good condition, with a strong bore, mechanism works perfectly with a nice stiff mainspring. All stamps on the metal are in great condition and very visible, and there are stampings still visible on the stock. There is one crack on the side of the stock near the receiver but stock is very solid. Very minor pitting on the trigger guard and buttplate. This is NOT one of the recent Ethiopian imports that are in poor condition. Have a competent gunsmith inspect the rifle before firing! This is an antique, no FFL needed. $1250 plus $60 shipping to continental U.S.OPEN TO OFFERS Payment via personal check, cashier check, or money order.
