Serial No. A298, circa 1870's, .577 caliber, 19.25"" round proofed barrel. Barrel and other iron parts are a dark brown to light grey patina. War Department stamps with Broad Arrows' are noted. Bore is near excellent with strong rifling visible. Lock plate is marked ""Small Crown with Broad Arrow/1870/Enfield"" Rear of hammer has ""Crown/ V.R."" Butt plate is marked with ""R6/B/27"" Handsome War Department cartouche is visible on the stock. light nicks and dings are visible. Action functions correctly. Antique
