Description:
Manufactured in 1915, the WW1-era Kar98A would serve the German Empire as a precursor to the later Kar98K, and proved to be favored by most infantry due its shorter 23.5" barrel and weight of 7 lbs, making it better suited in the trenches compared to the Gewehr 98. This model is an original that has been slightly sporterized, with the wood stuck being cut down halfway past the barrel, while the rest of the steel has been mostly unaltered. The vast majority of the metal has natural patina, while the barrel has seen some re-bluing. Notable pitting can be seen on the left side of the front sight and muzzle, but the rifle is otherwise in great condition and mechanically sound. No extras are included.
