Manufactured by the Nagoya Arsenal, the Type 2 was a specialized takedown variant of the Type 99 Arisaka for issue to paratroopers. Fitted with an inverted "V" front sight and folding ladder rear sight with A-A wings, standard receiver markings, ground mum, matching 746 assembly numbers on the takedown hardware, and matching serial number 571 on the underside of the barrel, bayonet lug and bolt components. Fitted with a smooth pistol grip stock and accompanied with its original cleaning rod. Included with the rifle is a plastic muzzle cover. Still has the majority of its original blue finish, showing areas of heavy spotting and scattered handling marks. The stock is in good condition with numerous scuffs and dings. Mechanically good condition. This rifles are getting harder and harder to find, so don't miss out on this opportunity to own a piece of WW2 history.
