This Kokura Arsenal 22nd Series Type 99 short rifle has a bright bore with strong rifling mainly because it is chrome-lined, & so is the face of the bolt. The overall condition is good with original finish on the metal parts & the wood is in good shape although it does present the dings & dents that one would typically expect out of a military service rifle that has been through a world war. It is equipped with the folding anti-aircraft rear sight assembly & the chrysanthemum has been ground. Comes with the cleaning rod, original monopod & an unmarked dust cover. Also comes with a hooked quillon Type 30 bayonet that was made by National Denki under Kokura Arsenal supervision that is in excellent condition, a painted metal scabbard & leather frog.
