IBM marked barrel has no date, but receiver serial falls between dated examples from February of '44. No ""AO"" code below serial, indicating this was an in-house receiver rather than a subcontracted Auto Ordnance. Condition is very good to great, with some handling marks in the wood and a patch of cleaned scale below the muzzle. Metal retains over 80% of original finish with a slight brown patina on the receiver and barrel. Buttplate has been cleaned of surface rust. Rear sight has been removed. Low-wood stock is marked ""JLB"", which is correct for the rifle. Comes with reproduction canvas GI sling.
