Description:
"Serial no. 7147. Manufactured circa 1965–1966 by Plainfield Machine Company, chambered in .30 Carbine, 18"" round barrel. Bore is bright with strong, well-defined rifling noted. This early commercial M1 Carbine was assembled using a mixture of U.S.G.I. surplus components and commercial parts and is configured in the post-war M1 Carbine pattern. The carbine remains in overall very good condition, showing only light handling and usage wear. Early Plainfield carbines are well regarded among commercial M1 Carbine variants for their extensive use of surplus military components and close resemblance to the original U.S.G.I. design. Action is smooth, mechanically sound, and functions correctly.
