Description:
"Serial no. 3884098. Manufactured circa early 1944 by International Business Machines Corporation, chambered in .30 Carbine, 18"" round barrel marked “IBM CORP." The bore is bright and shiny with strong, well-defined rifling noted throughout. The carbine is fitted with a bayonet lug barrel band, a correct late-war addition often seen on rifles updated during WWII service. It retains a push-button safety marked “EP B," and a Type II milled adjustable rear sight marked “HI." The low wood stock remains in very good condition with faint traces of an ordnance cartouche still visible, and the sling well is marked “BR-B." IBM was one of the more unusual wartime contractors producing M1 Carbines, and their examples are sought after by collectors. The action is smooth, mechanically sound, and functions correctly.
