"WWII Inland M1 Carbine with Post-War Alterations .30 Carbine (L2026-08168)
Description:
"Serial no. 957469. Manufactured in December 1943 by Inland Manufacturing Division, General Motors, chambered in .30 Carbine, 18"" round barrel marked “INLAND MFG DIV/GENERAL MOTORS/12-43." Bore is bright with strong, well-defined rifling noted. The carbine has been upgraded with typical post-war alterations including a bayonet lug barrel band, rotary safety, and Type II milled adjustable rear sight. The low wood stock has been lightly sanded and shows expected handling impressions from service use, with faint military cartouches still remaining visible. These post-war upgrades are characteristic of M1 Carbines that passed through U.S. arsenal rebuild programs following WWII. Action is smooth, mechanically sound, and functions correctly.
