Description:
"Serial no. 3576956. Manufactured April 1943 by Saginaw Steering Gear Division, chambered in .30 Carbine,18"" round barrel marked “UNDERWOOD/4-43/Flaming Bomb." The bore is bright and shiny with strong, well-defined rifling noted throughout. The carbine remains in desirable WWII configuration, retaining its flip rear sight and push-button safety. The high wood stock is very good and displays an “SG" marking along with an ordnance crossed cannons cartouche on the right side. The sling well is marked “IR-IP." Saginaw-produced carbines are highly collectible, especially examples retaining early wartime features such as the high wood stock and original sight configuration. The action is smooth, mechanically sound, and functions correctly.
