"WWII Saginaw M1 Carbine .30 Carbine (L2026-06444)
Description:
"Serial no. 3306083. Manufactured in late 1943 by Saginaw Steering Gear Division, chambered in .30 Carbine, 18"" round barrel marked “Saginaw S.G. Div./General Motors." Bore is bright with strong, well-defined rifling noted throughout. The carbine remains in its desirable WWII configuration. The low wood stock has had a light coat of varnish applied and shows light handling impressions consistent with careful use. Saginaw-produced carbines are well regarded by collectors, representing one of the major General Motors divisions that contributed to the U.S. wartime M1 Carbine production program. Action is smooth, mechanically sound, and functions correctly.
