IBM (AO Contract) M1 Carbine, Cal. .30 Carbine, 1943 Vintage, WWII

Description:
IBM (International Business Machines) M1 Carbine, serial number range 3651520 to 4009999 made from 10/43-05/44.  This IBM (Auto Ordnance Contract) M1 Carbine, serial number 3837749 (AO stamped under the serial number), falls in this range and is fitted with a 11- 43 date stamped barrel.  This is a Augusta Arsenal Rework with a replacement stock, a RIA front sight, an IA Inland Division of General Motors stamped magazine, & misc.  The gun is in fine arsenal rework condition, with metal surfaces retaining most of their parkerized finish.  The stock is in good condition and has a "P" , "M11", and crossed canons stamp with letters (cannot quite read them) on it.  The stock has a horizontal 7 1/2 inch crack just below the charging handle and the right side has a yellow mark written around the crossed cannon stamp.  The bore is in good condition, is bright with sharp rifling, but there are a number of corrosion spots.  A nice example of its type.                                                                      CURIO & RELIC
