Description:
Inland M1 Carbine in 30 carbine. The top of the receiver is marked "U.S. CARBINE / CAL. 30 M1" on the front and "INLAND DIV. / 398817" on the rear. The top of the barrel is marked "INLAND MFG. DIV. / GENERAL MOTORS". The right rear of the trigger group is stamped "INLAND" and does not have the 5/6 hole opposite the mag catch. The type 3 hammer is marked "BR" is a Brunner Ritter part. The short smooth magazine release is marked "M" which is an Inland mark. The rotary safety lever is marked "J.A.O." which is made by "J. A. OtterheimIn for Winchester. The inside of the operating slide is marked "PI" for Inland. The type 3 round bolt is marked "A.I. 1" which is an Inland mark. The front sight is marked "U" which is an Underwood mark. The front sight is a post set between two protective wings. The aperture rear sight is marked "I.R CO." on the left which is probably IBM. The Type 1 barrel band is marked "AI" on the buckle and on the right side of the band which are Inland marks. The inside of the two rivet upper handguard is marked "IO" which is an Inland mark. The rear left of the stock, in the sling well is marked "IO" which is Inland. The 15 round magazine is marked "U" which is Union Hardware. Overall this Inland M1 Carbine is in good surplus condition with an aftermarket sling and oiler. .30 Carbine
