Description:
This all original "as issued" Inland M1a1 with an 11/44 barrel date has been in my family for approx. 65 years and shot approximately three times that I am aware of in the past 50+ years, with little to no use prior. I can say without a doubt where this weapon has been stored in that same amount of time. Everything is correct and as it should be from the day it left the arsenal. The only items that may have been changed prior to it's departure from the arsenal would be the rotating safety and the M mag release which were the proper "upgrades" for that time frame from the armory/arsenal. It has been viewed and assessed by some of the most knowlegeable people in the M1 Carbine community, and verified to be as represented here.
All metal surfaces are in very good-excellent condition with no excessive wear, damage, or corrosion. The wood is in great condition with normal finish and coloring for a barely used carbine of the era. The leather cheekpiece is in excellent condition as is the rest of the wire-frame folding stock and hardware. As you can see by the pictures the carbine overall is in exceptional condition to include the chamber and bore. Pictures should show all (or most) of the necessary details and provide for a clear showing of quality and condition. As you may notice- I do not have it all bathed in oil for the pictures... there is nothing to hide on this carbine. The finish and color you see is the actual finish/color.
