Description:
This is an early production Inland that spent time in Bavaria after WWII. It is a Bavaria Rural Police return, and a great piece of the US Arms program and how firearms were loaned to other countries.
It is marked BAVARIA RURAL POLICE, etched into the left side of the receiver. It appears it never went through a rebuild because the early features such as highwood stock, push button safety, and flip rear sight are still on this carbine.
It has the early front band without bayonet lug, however this may be a converted band since the Bavarian government thought he bayonet was a bit much for a firearm used in a civilian setting.
It has a large cross-cannon cartouche on right side of butt, IO stamped in sling well, last four digits of serial stamped in sling well, and also on several major metal parts.
Comes with CMP Certificate of Authenticity
