Description: This nice M1 Carbine is from May 1943-February 1944 production, built in the Saginaw Steering Gear (General Motors) factory in Michigan. It has an 18" barrel, Buffalo Arms-marked, September 1943, a Type 1 trigger housing, first model rear peep sight with fixed Patridge blade front sight, 13 3/8" inch length of pull on the plain walnut stock, and weighs in at a featherweight 5 lbs 4 oz. The wood is in great shape with only a few nicks. The metal looks good, too, with some finish wear near the muzzle and nicks on the side of the butt plate. The action is smooth, and the bore is bright. It includes one original Quality Hardware UQ-marked 15-round magazine.
