Attractive, high condition, Underwood manufactured M1 Carbine as used by US military during World War II, now rebuilt using largely original Inland and Saginaw parts with mirror bright bore and correct manual mechanics.

Underwood M1 Carbine, cal. .30 Carbine, SN: 2900536. Rebuilt with 18" Inland barrel having "N" marked front sight with protective ears, barrel marked "INLAND MFG. DIV. / General Motors / 7-44" with "P" proof. Chamber marked "U.S. CARBINE / CAL. 30M1", flat blued bolt, two position Inland/IBM flip rear sight, left side of base marked "IN B", the right side "S", rear of receiver "UNDERWOOD" / 2900536". Type B Inland logo barrel band. Magazine release is marked “M” on right side, " WI" on face. Saginaw stock with oval cut, right side of butt stamped with a boxed SG adjacent to large ordnance wheel, sling recess stamped RSG, unmarked buttplate with squared checkering. Disassembly showing an an "RSG" marked handguard, Inland logo marked trigger housing and a straight "IN" marked hammer. Complete with green khaki sling and 15-round magazine marked "U" on spine.
Condition:
Excellent Underwood M1 US Military M1 Carbine largely rebuilt with original finish Inland and Saginaw parts. The barrel original as reflected by the markings that cut through the parkerizing. Comparable condition stock and sling, the stock slightly oil darkened with scattered superficial handling marks. Mirror bore. Correct manual mechanics.
