WWII Winchester M1 Carbine – DESIRED – Original - Sling & Magazine
Description: WWII Winchester M1 Carbine with authenic sling, serial number 122577x, falling into the desirable 1.22 million block (Winchester production, late 1942–1943). The receiver and stock carry classic U.S. military acceptance marks, including the circled “P” proof on the grip and the crossed-cannon ordnance cartouche on the stock — clear evidence of original U.S. service use. This rifle retains its original USGI sling and a correct 15-round magazine. Barrel is import-marked Blue Sky / Arlington, typical of carbines brought back to the U.S. during the post-war surplus era. Finish and wood show honest service wear but remain solid and attractive, with crisp markings that collectors look for. A true Winchester-made WWII M1 Carbine with authentic cartouches and original accessories is increasingly hard to find. This example represents an opportunity to own a piece of U.S. military history that saw service, survived the decades, and still presents proudly in any collection.
