Springfield Arsenal, M1 Garand, 30-06
Description: Springfield WW11 M1 Garand. Serial #2,070,548. Last of my WW11 collection. Detailed description of all parts. Has an outstanding beautiful grain pattern in the wood. All correct. No rebuild or import markings. TE=3 ME=.75 (under 1) Barrel is 2-SA-12-43. Bore is bright and shiny. Breech is shiny as well. No chrome around gas cylinder hole. Rounded gas cylinder lock with single slot gas cylinder plug. Gas cylinder is flat top of ring with tapered front of bayonet lug. Has a very slight punch mark on bottom of the bayonet lug. Uncut #6 Curved op rod marked D35382-6-SA. Receiver marked D28291 3C with a heat lot number B15B<>. Bolt marked D28287-12SA with heat lot S11<>. Type 3 lock bar rear sight. SA type closed arrow heads on windage and elevation knob. Follower is marked 11. Bullet guide is milled with indents on both sides at the angle. Short fork rod with serrations. Rounded end clip release. Trigger housing is weakly stamped D28290-12-SA. Milled trigger guard with safety marked SA 11. Hammer is C46008-5-SA. Stock has GAW and small ordnance wheel cartouche. Circled P firing proof on front of wrist plus tiny ordnance wheel on bottom of wrist. Approximate 1/2in. wide abrasion on top of the barrel about 4” down from muzzle. Not deep but there. (see picture) Stock has a few slight dents and dings from use and handling but no major ones, cracks or chips. WW11 butt plate with square spacer. No documentation so can’t declare all original but it is all correct. C&R eligible. Sales limited to states where legal, no California.
