Springfield M1 Garand 30-06 1954
Description:
This particular M1 Garand came from the private collection of Joe Poyer. Joe was the co-author of:"The M1 Garand 1936 to 1957" So Joe knew everything about the M1 Garand as well as anyone and he found this rifle to be very special. I agree. It was manufactured in 1954 (barrel date SA 12-54) With the exception of a very few dings, most likely aquired during 72 years of storeage, it appears to be in its original and near new condition. It retains its original finishes on both the wood and the metal surfaces and all internal parts are stamped SA. The ramp indicates that it has been fired, but the throat gauges 1+ and Muzzle gauges at 1. Near new. This is a very minty rifle most likely never issued and seldom seen in this condtion.
