Springfield Model WW2- U.S. Rifle M1 Garand semi-auto U.S. Military rifle in .30-06 Springfield (#754078). It has a 24-inch barrel ( 8-A-8-43) ; defined rifling & a few rough grooves. A blade front sight with protective sides and an adjustable aperture rear sight. The stocks are a smooth hardwood pistol griped with minor small dents & dings; a faint cartouche “P” (circle P) on the pistol grip; as well as light “SA” Cartouche on butt stock. This rifle appears to have all Springfield components . Barrel (8-A-8-43), Operating Rod ( 7790722 SA), Trigger group (D28290-SA) & Bolt marked (D28287-SA) Receiver numbered ( D28291-17). Overall metal has very even parkerizing finish; The rifle was manufactured August 1942. Action is smooth and functions correctly. (The bullet in the muzzle is to display bore condition since I have no gauge for that purpose.)
