The Model 1936 French MAS was the available rifle for the French troops at the outbreak of WWII. This one is a rework of the original 7.5 mm French to .308 Win and has been appropriately re-stamped. Some of the features of this rifle include the nice hardwood stock, the short length, and it includes a spike bayonet in what appears to be a 'gas tube' under the barrel. This one also has a removable floor plate and the safety is a trigger blocking lever next to the trigger guard. .308 Winchester
