Belgian Albini-Braendlin 11mm caliber rifle. The Albini-Braendlin infantry rifle was adopted by Belgium in 1867. This rifle is dated 1868. Rifle is in fine condition with a fine bore. Action works correctly. Metal retains most of original brightness and is smooth with no pitting. Wood is fine overall with the expected dings and marks of an issued rifle, no cracks or chips. A brass inventory tag numbered “842" is attached to the rear of the trigger guard tang. Overall, this is a much better than average Albini-Braendlin rifle.
