SN: PB495. Made in 1939 with an 18.5-inch barrel chambered for the 7.92x57mm Mauser rifle cartridge. Rifle has been refinished, so it has an attractive aesthetic about it that was entirely produced by the post-war arsenal-level rebuild. The metallic parts have a black enamel finish on them & the buttstock is excellent with no dings, dents or scratches. The handguard matches the buttstock in both color & condition. The caliber ""7.92"" has been stamped onto the top of the non-adjustable rear sight & a large ""S"" on the receiver ring indicates that the gun has been converted to fire cartridges using the Spitzer-shaped bullet.
