"Serial No. L12936, manufactured circa 1905, chambered in 8mm Lebel, featuring a 31 ¾" round barrel. This classic Lebel rifle, the backbone of the French infantry during WWI, shows matching serial numbers throughout, with the exception of the fore-end stock. The barrel was arsenal replaced in 1925, a common modification during postwar refurbishment to extend service life. The metal surfaces exhibit a smooth dark grey patina, and the factory markings remain legible and well-preserved. The stock displays typical arsenal repairs and expected field wear, with scattered handling marks consistent with age and service. The action is smooth and functions correctly with a functional magazine spring and follower.
