A scarce model 1895 for Netherlands military this Hemburg carbine is chambered for the 6.5X53R ad is considered the old model.The 17.7" barrel, with a clean bore, strong rifling and some corrosion down in the grooves from corrosive military ammo. Action works god and the date is 1914 SN 1366S matches the barrel and frame.The bolt has a SN 3975, and it's all matching. The European hardwood stock has numerous small field dings, nothing serious, and this model has side mount sling swivels. A stock stamping has" HEMBURG 1938 with a large crown over a W.
