Serial #159037, .41 Swiss RF, 33” barrel with a very good bore that has some dark freckling within the grooves. This is a Bern-manufactured rifle that has about 75-80% of the original blue finish remaining on the metal which blends smoothly into a plum-brown patina on the balance. The metal has some silvering at the muzzle and along the the exposed edges. Additionally, there are spots of mottled freckling along the sides of the receiver. The bolt is numbered “3993” on the body with armory bright metal on the protected areas. The handle and spurred trigger guard have dark brown freckling throughout and the walnut buttstock and forend have minor surface scratches and small blemishes evenly scattered about the otherwise excellent original military oil finish. An original cleaning rod is included and the rifle rates very good-fine overall. Antique
