Description:
International Harvester M1 Garand chambered in .30-06 Springfield. This M1 garand features a 24" barrel and a blade front sight with protective sides, adjustable IHC aperture rear sight. The Op Rod is marked "6535382 IHC" and the bolt is marked "6528287 IHC / E20". The trigger group housing is marked "6528290- IHC / X", a stamped trigger guard with no markings, "F" marked safety, "5546008 IHC" hammer. The gas cylinder is a wide base with a NHC "IHC" gas cylinder lock screw. The butt stock is a smooth hardwood pistol grip with Dept of Defense acceptance proof on the left stock "three stars above the eagle" and a circle "P" behind the trigger group. The forearm is smooth two-piece hardwood. The barrel is stamped "SA D6535448 5-53 A194D". The receiver is stamped "US RIFLE - CAL .30M1 - International / Harvester / 5119301. Overall this rifle remains in excellent condition for a surplus rifle. .30-06 Springfield
