It features the classic trapdoor action design and commemorates the 1871–1971 centennial period. The rifle has a case-colored frame, lock, and barrel band, paired with a checkered wood stock in a straight-grip configuration. A factory case-colored crescent metal buttplate and cleaning rod are fitted, consistent with the original Officer’s Rifle pattern.

Markings and finishes reflect the commemorative production run, with engraved case-colored components and an adjustable flip-up peep rear sight mounted to the tang. The single-shot action and bore are described as like new, indicating minimal prior handling or use. Manufacture date is 1971, aligning with the centennial designation.
