Description: I purchased this rare BM59 Tanker rifle in 1972, fired it approx. 8 times and put it away to keep its new condition. The BM59 Tanker was a modification by Beretta in Itlay on U.S M1 Gerands. Barrels were shortened to 17 1/2", a 20 shot clip loaded from under the action similar to the M14 was added, a selector switch for full auto or Semi auto. plus other small changes. Brette made these modification durring and near the the end of WW2. This modification was considered for men entering and exiting tank hatches.
