Description: Serial #259134, .30-40 Krag, 30" barrel with a fine, bright bore that has some traces of freckling within the grooves. This rifle retains 95-97% of the original blue, with some mild silvering at the muzzle, as well as along some of the exposed edges. Some scattered areas of minor freckling are also present scattered about the exposed surface metal. The bolt much of the original armory bright finish remaining, with dark spots of brown freckling on the handle. Most of the bright nitre blue remains on the extractor, however. A 2nd Type Model 1902 rear sight with flip-up eyepiece is installed. The walnut stock and handguard are in generally excellent condition with few handling marks in the original oil finish, and crisp "ISA / 1900" cartouche on the left side. There is a small amount of moisture damage to the wood at the heel of the butt, with some corresponding rust and oxidation on the steel buttplate.
