US Springfield 1898, Krag Rifle Oriignal and Correct New Jersey Provanance

Description:
From a nationally known Krag collection. 
       A US Springfield,  Model 1898Krag Rifle. Serial number 4303xx, 30/40 Cal. Mechanically excellent. All features function as they should. This rifle is in original and correct condition. All parts are correctly 1898 parts. The front sight blade correctly matches the rear 1898 /1992 cut corner sight(an interesting correct rear sight variation) windage adjustable rear sight. The rear butt plate is stamp marke N.J. Wihich correctly identifies all Krag New Jersey issued rifles. A unit rack number "32" also appears above the butt tang.  The metal finishes are original,  a mix of handling ware and aged patinas. The bore is very good +.  Bright, full form rifling,  no pitting.  Possibly some frosting it the groves. The stock is in excellent original condition, handsome Walnut without any cracks or gouges. Original stock finishes,  good  looking, a bit smooth from issued handling. The stock has an excellent 1903 inspectors cartouche, a circle P fireing proof and stock maker ID number. Also included is a 3 piece cleaning rod set and nickle oiler in the butt trap compartment.   Seldom seen in this condition, complete,  correct  and with all original markings. An investment grade Krag that I hope returns to New Jersey. For your collection and shooting pleasure.
