Winchester Made U. S. 1917

Description:
SALE PENDING. This 1917 "American Enfield" is of Winchester manufacture. It was one of over !00,000 shipped to the UK in 1941 for Home Guard service. To distinguish these rifles from otherwise identical .303's produced previously, a red band was painted on the forward part of the stock, and remnants of this red band are clearly visible here. Metal and wood are very nice given age and military service. Bore is very good. Repatriating importer's mark and ".30-06" are visible on bottom of exposed barrel. Price includes shipping.
