"NSN, Circa 1780-1790, .75 caliber, 18.5"" round smooth bore barrel. Carbine has been converted to a percussion ignition system from flintlock. Barrel and other iron parts are a brown/plum patina with heavy oxidation visible. Barrel has a ""Liege"" proof mark visible, lock plate is marked ""Propriedade/ Particular"", stock has expected usage and wear from use. A small crack is visible right side forward of the lock plate, a repair is noted lower butt plate. Action functions correctly, holding at half and full cock, it is to note that Mexico received Belgian Paget carbines and used them during the Texas Revolution and Mexican American War.
