"U.S. Model 1882 Chaffee Reese Rifle .45-70 (AL9620)

Description:
"NSN, circa 1884, 45-70, 28"" round proofed barrel. Barrel is a grey patina with traces of original blue visible. Bore is bright with minimal frosting visible in the grooves. The loading mechanics for loading from inside the butt stock have been taken out. Old repairs are visible along the wrist, sharp 1884 cartouche is noted on the left side. Action functions as a single shot only now.
