1863 Norris and Clement 58 Cal.Civil War musket

Description:
Very good near fine condition contract rifled musket made by S. Norris and W.T. Clement. All metal parts are smooth without pitting 30% or more original finish. Lockplate and barrel proof makings are sharp and clear with some age stain. Bore has strong rifflig and sheen. Hammer holds half and full cock with strong main spring. Stock is unsanded with deep aged tone. Two faint cartouches can be seen on the left flat but are hard to see. Rifle is 100% original and unaltered and came from a 1960s collection. Hard to find better at this price.
